A fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Mrs. Sangeeta Kalra was running her own practice in the name of Sangeeta Kalra & Co. since 1992. This firm was converted into a partnership in the name of Verendra Kalra & Co. and she is now a partner therein. She carries more than 31 years of taxation and audit experience in various firms in Delhi and Dehradun where she has headed the Taxation Division of the firms. She specializes in taxation, handling of tax assessments and audits, particularly Trusts and Societies.

She has been an active member of Executive Committee of Dehradun Branch of CIRC of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for three consecutive years (2010-2013). During these years, she has served the branch as a Treasurer, Secretary and Chairperson thereof.

She has lead teams of qualified and other professionals in carrying out statutory and concurrent audits of various branches of banks, statutory audits and Tax Audits under Indian GAAP. Apart from the routine audit services, she is responsible for HR matters and administration in the firm’s branches and takes particular interest in professional training and development of the firm’s trainees. She has been involved in various aspects of practice management like research, HR initiatives, quality enhancement, implementation of new tools and participation in firm’s initiative.

She has also completed the following Post Qualification conducted by ICAI:

• Diploma in the field of Information Systems Audit (ICAI)
• Diploma in the field of CAAT (Computer Aided Audit Tools)
