Partner-Assurance & Other Laws
Vijeta is Partner-Assurance, FEMA & Other Laws in the firm and currently leads the FEMA Law division of the Firm. She qualified as a CA in 2004 and then added Diploma in Information Systems Audit (ICAI) as an additional qualification in 2005. She has gained 20 years of work experience (including articleship) spent by working with firm in its assurance, tax and regulatory practices. She has worked on a number of leading clients in information technology, manufacturing, real estate, entertainment and retail sectors. She has been extensively involved in providing financial statement assurance, accounting advisory, and tax and compliance support.
Over her professional lifespan, she has gained vast experience in FEMA and provides advisory to clients on Inbound/ Outbound investments, Entry Level Strategies Foreign Investment Policy and Exchange Control regulations for setting up office in India. She has assisted clients in dealing with Secretarial Compliance of FEMA, FDI, ODI and services related to compounding and condonation of offences under FEMA. She also has gained vast experience in core advisory services and transaction management related to the real estate sector.
With a strong academic background, she has emerged as an outstanding leader in all her major roles over her work span with us. She is also responsible for leading and directing the performance of our interns to ensure that they effectively represent the name of the firm and promote the importance of the Chartered Accountancy profession.
Outside of work, her absolute favorite way to spend her free time is with her children and loves outdoor activities with them. She also enjoys listening to music, travelling and reading.
